<description>The Steam demo for Pinball Hero is live. Install the Steam client, click once, and you're in, with no extra setup.
There are two ways in. On the Steam store page（https://store.steampowered.com/app/4686750/）, scroll to the demo section and hit &quot;Download Demo&quot;. Or use the &quot;Download Demo&quot; button on this site, which launches the install directly if you already have Steam running.
What's in the demo
The demo opens up the core loop. You assemble a party out of different marbles. Heroes, skills and talents are all physical marbles, and their stats tie directly into how they behave on the table. Combat is turn based. Every turn is a marble collision, and angle and force decide the damage, so positioning and aiming are the actual strategy rather than clicking numbers. The marbles you pick up during a run change how it plays, and different combinations feel very different.
The demo runs a full game loop, with nothing cut out of it. The point is for you to actually play it and then tell me where it feels off.
After you've played
If it clicks, adding it to your wishlist is the most useful support. Steam will ping you on launch day instead of you having to check the store page yourself.
After this build I'll keep writing on the dev log（https://luke6b.tech/devlog.html） about how the numbers get tuned, why a mechanic got thrown out and rebuilt, and the rendering traps I fell into. To catch updates early, subscribe via RSS（https://luke6b.tech/assets/feed.en.xml）.
If something breaks or feels bad, come find me on Discord or just email.

<description>Pinball Hero has a Steam page. A store page covers what the game is, and the part about how it was made doesn't fit there.
The most interesting part of solo development is that part. Why an effect got dropped, why a number moved from 30 to 12, how physics and turn-based combat ended up fighting each other. None of that fits on a store page, a blog does.
So: this site.
What's here
The work page has the intro, gameplay and systems for Pinball Hero, plus a few screenshots and the Steam wishlist button. The dev log is the thing you're reading, less pretty than the game but true. Chinese and English are both there, toggle in the top right. Chinese is the mother tongue, the English side is machine-assisted. If you'd rather not check the site, subscribe to this（https://luke6b.tech/assets/feed.en.xml）.
How to help
If you care about the project, the most direct support is hitting Add to wishlist on Steam. Once the list gets big enough I'll run a public playtest, and everyone on it gets notified.
Watching along works too. Subscribe to the RSS or drop by now and then. Both work.
Have a look at the game（https://luke6b.tech/pinball-hero.html）.</description>
